This particular tablet was loaned to me by the school for online classes during the quarantine, so I've had it for about 3.5 months. The version I have has 32 GB of RAM and 2 GB of ROM, and it also supports 4G connectivity (although 32 GB may not be enough for an average user after a while - it would have been nice if they had included 3 GB of ROM instead of 2, but for a low-budget tablet, don't expect too much...)
+ Positives
• Let's start with the screen, which is quite large and satisfactory for its price, although it's not an AMOLED display. The brightness could be a bit stronger (personally, I tried it under direct sunlight and it was barely visible), but as I said, you can't expect too much in this category...
• Size: It is small and lightweight, so you can carry it with you everywhere without feeling like it will fall (but make sure to use a screen protector and a case - you'll regret it if you don't protect your investment). Some people complain about its large size and the difficulty of using it for communication. The truth is, I also struggled at first, but in life, everything is a matter of getting used to it. Later on, when you go back to typing on your phone, you'll find it small. That's just how things are, what can we do?
• The camera does its job properly and is there mainly for commercial purposes (it's neither terrible nor super wow). It's there for making video calls and whatever else you want to do. If you don't mind, take better photos with your phone...
• The sound is very loud, with good bass, and with the Dolby Atmos feature already present in the device, you'll be surprised by its audio quality.
• What really amazed me is the battery life - it's a beast, and it charges relatively fast. Nowadays, it's hard to find a battery that can last a whole day and still have some juice left, especially in tablets and phones. I have used it for everything (except gaming - in my opinion, if you're looking for a tablet for gaming, go for a 90-degree turn) and it doesn't drain easily. If there's a reason to buy this tablet at this price (not more, it's not worth it, go for a Samsung tablet instead), it would be its endless battery life.
- Negatives
• For now, the only thing that has "disappointed" me is the speed of its processor, which seems to be getting worse. I haven't even had it for six months, and when you're doing online classes and want to multitask, it takes forever to switch back to the webex app. Okay, at first, during the first two months, I didn't experience any lag, but now it's becoming more frequent. You might argue that using it for 6 hours, 5 times a week for online classes is too much for it to handle. And yet, it managed... But then I loaded it with more apps, files, etc., so... I want it all and I suffer the consequences...
In conclusion: Is this a value for money tablet for you?
The answer is controversial. Since I grew up using Samsung devices, I didn't like this particular one, and because I also have another Samsung tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019) at a similar price range, I find it better. But it's up to you to weigh the pros and cons and decide what you think.
