Beautiful sandal... supposed to be comfortable but instead it hurts your feet! Unacceptable for the money it costs!!!!
They are very beautiful and go well with almost everything. They have very good quality. They are heavy but have a nice sole. They hurt me the first time until they opened up a bit. I usually wear size 39 but I don't have wide feet, so I got size 38.

Maybe because I have relatively wide feet, they fit me perfectly, and, since I insisted a little, they didn't cut me after 2 or 3 times, and they are the most COMFORTABLE summer shoes I have ever worn, and we are talking about everyday use! The sole is so soft, it supports the foot wonderfully, as well as the straps that don't let it move, they give height, they are beautiful! I liked the patent black ones so much that I got them again in patent white. These, indeed, hit my ankle much more than the black ones because their leather was stiffer, but I used transparent band-aids every time beforehand, and the problem was solved! As for those who write that they are not leather, they must have bought the vegan version, because the company produces them in leather - both in matte and patent (which I bought)! Also, I have to mention that I wear a size 39.5-40, but these in size 39 are perfect for me! P.S. If you read the reviews of this particular model on the Dr. Martens UK site, you will see that they are the most positive among all the other sandal models! (And there are A LOT, just like the number of sandals they have released so far!)
The truth is that you are purely paying for the brand.
It's not worth such an expensive product.
In terms of design, quality, etc., you could find something similar for 40€ and it wouldn't hurt you.
The ankle strap may cause you injury from friction
Unfortunately, they were bothering me around the ankle where it has the buckle. Also, they have a large size....
Regarding the size, I had read reviews here and I thought I would want a smaller size, but in the end, no. I wear a size 39 and I have quite full feet. So, I still got a size 39, but the straps in front of me are loose, which I didn't expect.
Unfortunately, their seams are terribly painful, to the point where they cause deep wounds after just one hour of use. Overall, they are heavy and not at all comfortable. The fit on the foot is okay, but it is impossible to wear them without experiencing pain. The worst purchase I have ever made.
I bought the shoes in size 36 while I wear 37, influenced by some comments on the page. What I have to say is that the shoe I received in size 36 was a true size 36, meaning it didn't fit me, so I didn't request a return. It may depend on each person's foot or how everyone wants it to fit on their foot. For me, though, size 37 would have been fine.
Whoever buys them should get a size smaller than what they usually wear. One of the most beautiful sandals I have worn, but unfortunately they are not comfortable at all, resulting in me wearing them very few times because they hurt me in many areas.
They have a very large fit in width, especially if you wear a large size (40) and have narrow feet like mine. They are very comfortable and despite being wide, my foot doesn't slip because it is held by the ankle strap, nor does it turn because it sinks into the rubber inner sole. Unfortunately, it is not made of leather.
