  After 3 years of use, it is by far the best purchase I have made. I can only say positive things:

  • The colors are fantastic and very bright due to the IPS
  • Amazing response time
  • Very sturdy construction, it doesn't even fall with a 7 Richter earthquake
  • The ability of the stand to rotate in all directions is great, I didn't expect it to be so useful for cleaning and cable management
  • No dead pixels after years of use
  • Very easy disassembly in case of moving

  For the price of $170 that I bought it, it was a steal considering its quality. Now it has reached $220 but I believe that even if it broke today, I would buy it again with my eyes closed. VFM!!!

  I had a younger brother, the VG249Q1R. I can say that the difference in hertz from 165 to 144 wasn't very noticeable.
  Also, one of the best things is how you can adjust the screen base as you like, and I can say it's quite user-friendly and stable. It can withstand hits on the desk.

  It bothers me that it doesn't have an extra HDMI port, but we forget about it and live well. As for the colors, personally, they are excellent (I don't do any work that requires colors).

  The speakers are average, not as good as I would like. But they work.

  The letters appear very clear, as I occasionally program various programs, and it helps with that.

  However, it has a slight ghosting even when you activate the ELMB (which I do not recommend).

  Nevertheless, for its price, it is worth it and more.

  Excellent screen for its price. The only reason not to choose it is if you find a much better monitor on sale. Its stand is very sturdy and very easy to install. Overall, it appears to be very well constructed.
  The only disadvantages I have found are the following:
  1. It has a slight difficulty in placing the image and power cables, as there is a small bulge at the bottom that makes the process a bit more difficult.
  2. Also, it comes from the box with preset colors, with a slight yellowish tint, which you will need to adjust with the settings (but this is something you would have to do anyway).
  3. Its menu is relatively user-unfriendly, but for someone who will set it up once and forget about it, this is not a serious problem.
  In general, it is an excellent model for all uses.

  I have it on a ps4 pro. I am very satisfied. Very nice colors and value for money. I have a 55 Samsung 4k. Since I connected the ps4 to the monitor, I haven't played on the TV again. Of course, I play fps games. It's day and night. The monitor also has an fps counter. Of course, I play at 60 due to the ps4. I'm waiting for the ps5 and I will come back. The main reason I bought it is that, according to Asus' website, it supports 1080p at 120hz for ps5. Ergonomic stand. You can take it wherever you want. It had power and hdmi inside me.
  Update: It works fine on ps5 at 120hz, I tried it on Call of Duty.

  Very good screen, very fast and with very good colors. In a very short time, you can adjust it to your liking.

  I have two other models of Asus, the vg245 and the 249q1r, and compared to them, it has two disadvantages:

  1. It does not have the joystick that the other two have, which makes the settings more difficult. With time, you get used to it, but only to a certain extent. And

  2. No matter how much I searched for it (even at the Asus service), I couldn't find how (and probably can't) change the position of the crosshair. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but it's completely irrelevant as a fact since the position is not standard in games.

  And for those who are interested, it supports 120fps on the PS5.

  In conclusion, it is a 5-star screen since personally, any disadvantages cannot overshadow the overall performance of the monitor.

  The screen is generally very good. It only came with an HDMI cable. The only negative is that I have around 4 malfunctioning pixels, where one of the 3 RGB channels appears bright on a black background. So I can only distinguish 1/3 of these 4 pixels on a black background and only if I try. It bothers you a little that you have 4 malfunctioning pixels but in the end, you forget about it and don't care. VFM for me.

  Excellent screen. Supports Freesync & Adaptive Sync (compatible with G-Sync), 1ms response time, excellent colors, fully adjustable IPS. Coming from TN, the difference is noticeable. For those who don't want height adjustment, rotation, etc., there is exactly the same model VP249QGR. I bought it for 240 euros. Now it's 225, while the plain one without the adjustable stand is around 210. Taking into account this 15 euro difference (today 27/12/2020), it's worth having an ergonomic screen. I used to work at 60 frames either in games or design programs and my eyes were hurting. Now I won't go back!. Of course, for G-Sync you need a Displayport cable. One last thing, it's very simple as a screen, it doesn't scream gamer and it doesn't have weird designs, plus the bezel around is absent, it's only on the bottom. From me, 5/5, buy it, it's an excellent screen!.

  Perhaps the only negative thing about it is the high brightness it has in its default filters like sRGB. I have changed it to cinema, adjusted the brightness, contrast, and all related settings. It may not be a disadvantage after all. Overall, I am very satisfied to mention that it didn't come with any dead pixels. Also, I want to mention that the screen only had an HDMI cable inside and not a Displayport. It only came with HDMI, that is.
