First of all, I have to say that I bought it for €11.90. I have had it for 2 years, with daily use, at least 6-7 times every day. It hasn't had the slightest issue. Normal noise, it does catch some salt of course. The construction material is lightweight plastic, which doesn't give you the best impression of durability and sturdiness, but despite that, it hasn't had any issues. Overall, it has more than made up for its cost, but I emphasize that I bought it for €12, not the €17-18 it currently costs. Maybe for that price, there might be something more sturdy. However, I have been very satisfied with its durability so far.

At the moment it reaches boiling temperature, the plastic lid opens abruptly on its own. Obviously, this is a manufacturing error.
