Description

Designed by Dr. Argy Petros (member of the NASA Space Technology Hall OF Fame), they are built to fully meet the needs of consumers using HDTVs that receive digital signals (DIGEA), whether their TV has a built-in HDTV decoder or an external HDTV decoder. They are also compatible with analog TVs, perfectly receiving analog transmissions.

They are among the first antennas in the world to incorporate Ultra Wide Band Technology (UWB), a technology primarily used in radar to achieve greater reception range. Combined with the ability to receive omnidirectional signals from a distance of 50 miles and the built-in 4G filter that eliminates interference from mobile phone transmitters, RGTech Monarch antennas manage to deliver stunning picture quality to your TV.

I don't know why it says "internal" antenna. It should say external, as it only catches signal outside. We tried it in two different rooms with two different orientations. In both, wherever we placed it, it didn't catch any channels. As soon as we took it out on the balconies, it caught signal (even on the balcony with the "bad" orientation). So my conclusion is: if you can place it on a balcony, get it, it's very discreet and easy. If you want to have it indoors, look for another antenna. It didn't catch signal at all on the second floor. For external: 5/5, for internal: 1/5

I had a problematic antenna in the apartment building and the owner didn't care to replace it. The signal on ERT channels and some local ones (Crete) was non-existent and the quality on the rest was quite low, so with bad weather or wind we simply couldn't watch TV. So, taking into account the positive comments, I decided to try this specific antenna. From the moment I connected it, it caught all channels in excellent quality (90%+) as well as some foreign channels that the other one never found in any case. I placed it on a shelf next to the TV (not even close to a window) and due to its transparency it is discreet and aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend it!

It was installed on a piece of furniture, in a third-floor apartment of a five-story apartment building in a densely populated area, in eastern Thessaloniki, near Vasilissis Olgas Avenue, because there was a problem with the wiring with the old antenna on the rooftop. It immediately picked up all the channels, digital, analog, television, and radio. I highly recommend it despite the concerns I had after reading some negative comments.

Update 17.07.2024: It continues to work perfectly. If you read the brief instructions for use, it says not to touch metal surfaces because then, due to electromagnetic interference, the signal may be lost, and indeed, it accidentally touched its cable to the handle of the balcony door, which is metallic, and the signal was lost for the state channels. As soon as I removed it from there, it immediately came back. So, if someone has a problem with the signal, they should check if it comes into contact with metal surfaces.

The previous internal antennas with an amplifier and power displayed some channels correctly, while others constantly required us to search for a "spot" to pick them up, which was often very tiring.

With the antenna directly glued to a wall, its performance is excellent and we can receive all channels. It should be noted that it does not require power supply, so no consumption, no additional cables, no extra socket, etc. I don't know how it manages to work so well without an amplifier.

Unfortunately, in a settlement in Central Greece near a village (Theologos), it did not work at all. We tried moving it to various locations, with three televisions, but it did not receive a signal in any of them. The truth is that we are far away from transmission antennas and our area needs a strong, large antenna with an amplifier. Perhaps what other buyers have written applies to more central areas.

It is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover". Small, lightweight, plastic.. fake in appearance, it was tested after 2 other indoor antennas that didn't catch anything. It was connected to the input of an existing indoor amplifier in a half-basement apartment of a 6-story building (since the rooftop antenna left us hanging), with buildings all around and zero line of sight. The result was amazing, it caught all digital and analog channels (probably helped by the amplifier). The whole process took quite some time, not for the installation which took seconds (I removed the old cable that went to the rooftop from the amplifier, I put this one in) but to find the right position. It requires patience, to find the right wall (as high as possible and exterior), and with small movements to place it where it catches all the channels. Moving it 5-10 centimeters (at least for me) made a difference. In any case, from going up and down the rooftop, installing the antenna, laying the cable, etc., the time I wasted walking wall to wall in the room was more than worth it.
