If you happen to have a FrizBox router, it is an excellent purchase. However, given that FrizBox routers are very good and clearly better than the garbage provided by the providers, the fritz ecosystem is a very good choice. The DECT has a great range and even greater if combined with the Fritz DECT repeater. It covers both telephony and smart home in a three-story house, with a router on the middle floor. Additionally, the DECT is very reliable, I have never experienced any interruptions, which is not the case for devices that rely on WiFi. This particular product offers much more than it seems. It provides consumption monitoring, temperature monitoring, and even sound monitoring, as well as programming capabilities for opening/closing with triggers (e.g. time, temperature, or sound) or with a program. The prices of FritzDECT and FritzFON are not very low, but the devices are excellent in terms of quality, functionality, reliability, and ease of programming.

The build quality is very good. There are plenty of options for customization through the Fritzbox router. The major downside is that it is not compatible with any assistants (Google, Amazon, etc.). So the only option is the AVM ecosystem. Wireless connectivity is through DECT, not Bluetooth or WiFi. The price is a bit high considering it only works with Fritzbox devices. There are alternative solutions with better connectivity and price. One of its advantages is the temperature indication.
