The reissue of a scientific textbook is potentially better than the previous one, under two conditions: To maintain the positive elements of the previous edition and to include new features that will make it even more interesting and attractive.

Developmental Psychology - Lifespan Approach ("descendant" of the textbook Evolutionary Psychology - Lifelong Development] has satisfied these two basic conditions.

Specifically:

First, it has maintained a series of characteristics that made the previous edition a particularly valuable scientific textbook, user-friendly and useful for many. Specifically:

• Introduces the reader to the concept and content of lifelong development, making it clear that a complete understanding of human development requires the "equivalent" study of all developmental periods.
• Presents data from valid studies in various areas of development and, at the same time, seeks to "converse" with the reader, conveying research data to real life.
• Emphasizes the importance of environmental factors in human development and, concurrently, highlights the role of genetic factors in shaping behavior. Consequently, it does not fail to emphatically note that, beyond individual differences, there is also cultural diversity.

Second, the present textbook has many new elements both in structure and content. Specifically, it includes new and/or revised chapters/subchapters that deal with contemporary issues and provide new data, which, in turn, are drawn from a largely updated bibliography.

Developmental Psychology - Lifespan Approach is addressed to students, parents, educators, and professional psychologists who, for different reasons, are interested in - and study - human development throughout the lifespan.
