The Composite Constructions analyze works whose bearing elements consist of the two most common building materials, steel and reinforced concrete. Through the collaboration of these two materials, the criteria of load-bearing capacity, functionality, integrity, and durability over time are satisfied in the optimal way. The significant advantages of composite constructions account for their widespread use worldwide, especially in areas of high seismic risk.

In the book:

• topics related to the design of composite beams, slab supports, and their connections are presented with reference to buildings,

• the limit states of failure and functionality are examined based on the provisions of Eurocode 4 adapted to the Greek Concrete Code,

• criteria and application rules are provided for the practical handling of fire protection issues.

Each chapter includes both the theoretical foundations and a large number of application examples, which contribute to a better understanding of the subject matter.

In its fourth edition, the book has been revised with necessary corrections and additions.
