"Applied Sports Physical Therapy" was created with the aim of serving as a source of knowledge, providing the modern sports physical therapist with the opportunity for a holistic approach to the injured athlete, using critical use of current research evidence (evidence-based practice). This book, written by health experts (academics and clinicians), provides detailed and documented guidelines for every step of the physical therapy of sports injuries, from the moment of injury to the athlete's reintegration into the normal training program. Based on contemporary scientific evidence, it provides accurate information: a) for providing first aid in sports fields, b) for techniques and methods of physical therapy in the physical therapy laboratory, c) for functional rehabilitation techniques in sports fields.

Another important innovation of this book lies in the detailed description of the functional rehabilitation of sports injuries, with the simultaneous integration of modern rehabilitation techniques (plyometrics, skipping exercises, trx training systems, bosu trainer, body blade, powerbags, kettlebells), applications that are proposed for the first time in international literature.
