I bought it for grinding cheese because simply there is no decent household electric appliance for this job in the market, and I emphasize, a decent one, exclusively for this task. With a quick look at the "cutters and grinders" section on Skroutz, you will see it for yourself. You are forced to go for a multipurpose chopper. The other option is a professional machine for supermarkets. I even considered buying one in order to get a powerful electric grinder that can grind a large quantity of cheese, like a whole head, without straining the motor and risking it burning out from the first use. After searching and searching, I came across this multipurpose chopper by chance. So, the machine for the job I wanted it for is more than capable. It is flawless. Yes, it is a meat grinder. I don't mind at all. I haven't used it as such and probably won't. However, honestly, with the additional attachments that come with it, it saved me from the manual grinder where I would sweat and hurt my hands while grinding cheese. Now, I can grate a whole head of regato cheese in 5 minutes. Effortlessly and comfortably. The attachments it has are as shown in the photo. Especially the ones for the cutting/grinding attachment are of high quality, ergonomic, and large in size compared to similar but cheap multipurpose choppers, which means they can process a larger quantity of food more easily. Bosch has justified its name here. Anything less would have been disappointing. In the box, it comes with the machine, a metal grinder with 3 perforated discs with different hole diameters for fine or coarse minced meat, a plastic attachment for filling sausages, and an adapter with 4 attachments for cutting and grinding vegetables, cheese, etc. The machine has a slow and fast speed as well as a reverse function. Its motor is quite powerful since it is intended for cutting meat, so it doesn't struggle at all when cutting vegetables and grating cheese. In this case, the manufacturer advises the machine to always operate at the slow speed, otherwise the chopped vegetables and cheese won't have time to fall, causing the drum to clog. I personally experienced this in the first use. It indeed happened. It grated a piece of cheese so quickly that it jammed the attachment. As soon as I switched it to the slow speed, it worked like a charm. The same applies to any vegetables you give it to cut. Always use the slow speed. Its hopper is large, so it can accommodate quite chunky or even whole ingredients that you want to grind or finely chop without having to cut them into small pieces to fit. Very important, especially when you want to grate cheese or cut cabbage for salad. Just imagine, I cut the cheese head into 6-7 large pieces and they all fit in one by one. As I said, I haven't tried it yet as a meat grinder and don't have an opinion, but as a cheese grater and vegetable cutter, it saved me! I imagine it will be equally capable in grinding meat and won't disappoint. At some point, it will be tested mainly out of curiosity and because my spouse will definitely want to check it out. It is definitely recommended and worth every penny.
