The edition of "Basic Business English" was made to adapt to the modern social, political, economic, and technological changes of our century. Their impact is mainly seen in the texts that our students, and young people in general, read, contributing to the formation of a new way of thinking. The general structure of the language, namely grammar and syntax, does not present significant changes, so it was not considered necessary to make any adjustments in these areas. The texts, dialogues, letters, and other forms of written language that make up the book are mostly personal selections or have been taken from newspapers and magazines. All the texts presented here serve as an introduction to the terminology of the specialized field of study for the students of the University of Piraeus, introducing them to the terminology of such sciences as Economics, Statistics, Business Organization and Management, Banking, and Finance.
