Fifty years after its first edition, "On Death and Dying" by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross is released for the first time in Greek. It is one of the most important psychological studies of the 20th century, deeply influencing the fields of mental health and research on human beings.
The American-Swiss psychiatrist, as is well known, introduced the theory of the "five stages of grief" that the terminally ill patient goes through: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
Through interviews and conversations, Kubler-Ross explored how impending death affects the patient, the doctors and medical staff around them, as well as their family environment, and developed her theory, which remains a reference point in the field of psychiatry to this day.
The edition includes an introductory note by psychiatrist, child psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst Athanasios Alexandridis.
