Orestes and Pylades are searching for the bow of Artemis in Scythia. They are captured and led to the goddess's temple to be sacrificed. The priestess there is Iphigenia, who recognizes her brother. They take the bow and all of them secretly flee to Greece. The king of Scythia pursues them, but they are saved by the sight of Athena.
