Dimitris Liantinis was born in Poloditsa of Laconia on July 23, 1942. The beginning of the dog days. He studied classical languages, Ionian natural sciences, and anthropology. As a young man, he walked, for a moment, in Upper Engadine and the castle of Eze. In his spare time, he engaged with gardens and the sky. With order and simplicity. And within the measure of man.
The question posed to him on the road, something like the riddle of the Sphinx in Thebes, was the following:
"As you look into the void, can you not despair?"
He replied: "Yes".

The teacher that we should have had and miss from our schools, our homes, and the municipality. Let it enter with this wonderful book in the libraries of our minds! A book that is worth studying many times!
Let me be the heretic of the comments then...
I didn't like at all the materialistic spirit that is pervasive in his book. Also, his pompous and bombastic speech tires me a lot and seems like he's trying to show off his knowledge. The Spartan, although he himself is a Spartan, is completely unknown. A left-wing university professor, just like the overwhelming majority anyway. I wonder how he is considered so important. I find him very "little" as a Greek.
It is by far my favorite book in my library. I have read it twice and I can't wait to read it again.
The radiance of the philosophical thought of the Greek teacher. By far the most important modern Greek book. Buy it immediately. Read it again and again, it is very difficult. You will need to delve into the Liantini asterism to understand it. But when you manage to do it, you will have it at your fingertips.
Excellent book, written by the unforgettable and distinguished Dimitris Liantinis.... He who emerged from Plato's "cave".

A soulful deposit from the teacher.
You are not the critic of comments, but the illiterate of comments. Read the "Greek" first.
The study of Greek philosophy should be taught in Greek education.
