The profiling of the psychological profile of criminals who have occupied the Greek media (1993-2018): Criminal Profiling & Media attempts to provide answers to pressing questions that deeply concern our society after the commission of heinous crimes, mainly against life and sexual freedom. The author delves into the motives of criminal behavior, the particular psyche of the individual driven to crime, the specific circumstances of the crime, as well as the broader social conditions, as well as the profile of the victim, as they emerged in cases that occupied the media in our country from 1993 to 2018.

The first part presents the theoretical framework regarding criminal profiling and analyzes examples from international criminological research. The second part analyzes notorious cases of criminological interest that have been the subject of systematic investigation by the scientific community and journalistic research for years, "illuminating" their dark aspects.

In the appendices, the reader will find a useful index of terms, which is divided into four thematic sections. In the first section, they will be able to search for basic Greek criminological terms, in the second, Greek legal terms, while in the third and fourth sections, English legal and criminological terms, with the corresponding interpretations and highlighting of the differences between English and Greek terms.

This is the fifth book by Angeliki F. Kardara, which is based on years of research and aims to apply the principles of criminal profiling to police reporting, an endeavor that is being carried out for the first time in correlation with the Greek media.
