Icel Technik Knife Fillet made of Stainless Steel 15cm 271.8607.15 1pcs Code: 19448370

The knife fillet by Icel with a blade length of 15cm, has a thin and flexible blade, a blade that moves comfortably along the backbone in soft meat or fish, making it easy and quick to separate the bones from the flesh. Filleting delicate fish pieces and preparing sashimi is easier with such a knife. It is made of stainless steel, a popular material for knives, it is particularly durable and does not corrode. It is a combination of carbon and iron as a base, and chromium is added to repel stains and give the blade a glossy finish.

A very good knife with a blade made of - not top quality but good quality - stainless steel alloy, at a very good price. Its handle is also made of good material and ergonomic. For its price, it is better than much more expensive and more famous European (German) knives. It is quite far from the design, philosophy, and implementation of Japanese knives in all areas (weight, thickness and handle design, blade height, sharpening, and maintenance).

Very good knife for cutting bread. Long enough to cut properly and not strain the hand. It is a professional tool.

Very satisfied with the purchase. It cuts perfectly, to the point where you have to be a little careful not to risk cutting yourself with the blade. Its durability will be evident over time, but for now, it seems solid. Its handle is neither heavy nor light, of course.
Update 09/2023: Two years and many cuts later, it continues to cut just as well as the first day. If you take care of it and don't hit its blade, you will be satisfied for many years.

This review is about type: Santoku, dimension: 18 cm

I was torn between this and the Wüsthof Santoku! I bought it because I wanted to support a Portuguese company instead of a German one. My butcher only uses ICEL and he recommended it to me.

Okay, it's amazing. It cuts very nicely, I use it for easy cuts and it's divine. At first, it may seem slightly less sturdy compared to the knives on the block. In two days, it will not leave your hands.

It says "Mind your own hands" on top, I think about it every day before I cut.. It shaves. Don't leave it unwashed, after each use, wash, wipe, and store. I don't let it touch other metal objects.

Cuts like a razor! The durability over time remains to be seen, but for now, it slaughters and has a very good balance as weight distribution in the hand
