I have been using a chainsaw with a cable for a long time, but since the plug that the blade goes into broke, I bought this one. The battery is very convenient, no cables to get tangled and you can take it wherever you want. I wonder why I was cutting with a cable for so long!! It cuts any type of wood just fine, just like it did with the cable. The only thing that takes a little getting used to is the safety switch, you have to keep it pressed to release the gas, but it makes it safer.
