This book is the first volume of a three-volume work on programming football training during the competitive season. This work is a continuation of the book "Preparation in professional football" which was released in 2016.
A complete daily training plan is provided for the first 12 weeks of the competitive season. For each day, a summary training program is presented for the entire team (both for players with high energy expenditure and those with low energy expenditure or who are behind in physical condition, etc.). For each exercise included in the program, there is a detailed description and a color diagram, so that the reader-coach can fully understand it and apply it immediately.
The structure of the annual plan follows the competitive program followed by professional football teams in the Super League, Football League, and Third National Division, so that with the appropriate adjustments, coaches and fitness coaches can implement the training plan proposed by the book. The training plan can also be applied to amateur teams, adapted to the needs and training of teams participating in local championships.
