Quality construction but the call volume is very low, to the point that even if you are next to the phone, there is a chance you won't hear it. Also, the buttons are not easily pressed and many times when I'm in a hurry to answer a call, for sure some button won't be pressed. I do not recommend it for stores, at least in any case.

The period I have had it in my possession is not long, but I can say that it is definitely a better quality choice than many cheap devices flooding the market...
Although I would prefer a few more options for ringtones, with Greek language in the phone directory, and volume adjustment for the receiver... the initial period shows a quality construction. Of course, time will tell if my current estimation will be confirmed...
In short, for anyone looking for such a device, whether for office or home use, as a main or backup phone, I think it is one of the relatively few quality options available in the market today...
Those who purchase it should be aware that the screen panel DOES NOT light up, but the screen contrast is excellent and readable even in low lighting! (for me, an advantage because it doesn't require dealing with batteries, while its big brother is powered by a transformer and didn't work for me)
Since it is probably important for some, there is also a call blocking list, although I haven't used it yet, so I don't know how it works.
Edit: The main drawback I have identified so far, apart from the limited variety of ringtones, is that the last calls list does not display the date, only the time. It's not a major issue, and I don't know if I have set something incorrectly, but I note it as a negative point...
Edit 5/1/22: The phone continues to work flawlessly without any problems. However, it would be good if the phone's firmware could be upgraded...

I have set it to automatically update the date from the network. The MENU is user-friendly and in Greek (rating 5/5).
Update November 7, 2020: After using it for about 7 months, the phone continues to be very good. Very good sound quality. I still rate it 5/5 (One small drawback is that the headset easily comes off the phone, but no matter how many times it fell off the nightstand, it didn't suffer any damage).

Advantages:
1. No need for batteries. It doesn't even have a battery slot. This was the main criterion for me. I already have a very good wireless phone that I use everywhere in the house. I chose this device to be placed in the entrance of the house (in the hallway), as the main wired phone of the house, which can still work even if there is a power outage and not depend on batteries or power. The Gigaset DL380 is the ideal choice. It works perfectly by drawing power from the telephone line itself, offering a screen, phone memories, caller ID, speakerphone, etc.
2. Large, clear, tilted screen with very good contrast. The screen, although not backlit (expected due to the absence of batteries or power), has very good adjustable contrast and large, easily readable characters, allowing you to comfortably read all the information you need from a distance.
3. Phonebook (agenda) that displays the name of the caller/called party, not just the number. Above the numeric keypad, there is a "dot-matrix" area that normally displays the name corresponding to the number (provided you have entered it in the memory). The memory can hold 99 numbers.
4. Loud and clear ringing, without silly "melodies," etc. You can choose from 10 different ringtones, which are loud and penetrating. The volume has 4 levels, as well as the ability to start from low and gradually increase to the maximum.
5. Alarm clock function (i.e., the phone rings at a specific time set by you).
6. Speakerphone.
7. High-quality sound in the handset and speaker.
8. Large, bright LED indicator during an incoming call or when the handset is off-hook or in speakerphone mode.
9. Easy display and management of missed and recent call numbers, with easy copying and entry into the phone's agenda for future use or deletion of one or all numbers.
10. Ability to fully mute the ringing (i.e., no sound when someone calls you). Convenient if you want to not be disturbed for a period of time or if there are other phones parallel on the line (like I have) so that they don't all ring together.
11. Ability to block incoming calls based on a specific time period during the day (e.g., from late afternoon until the next morning) or based on a blacklist of unwanted numbers.
12. Large numeric keypad buttons for comfortable manual number input. There are also 4 speed dial buttons (one of them is red to stand out and is intended for emergency calls).
13. Very user-friendly and intuitive menu. You hardly need the manual, as everything is where it should be and you won't have difficulty finding and adjusting any setting.
14. Automatic date and time adjustment. With each incoming call, the phone's calendar/clock is automatically adjusted through information received from the provider. Manual date and time adjustment is now a thing of the past!
15. Greek menu (which is not mandatory, whoever wants can switch it to English or another language).
16. If for some reason you disconnect the device from the telephone line, it will turn off after a while, as it will no longer be powered by the line. However, the numbers/names you have saved in the phonebook are NOT LOST, but remain in its memory (probably using FLASH memory that does not require power). This applies even if you leave it disconnected for a long period of time (I tested it for 24 hours). The only thing that is reset is its calendar/clock, but for that, see the advantage (14) mentioned above.
17. [Subjective] Very aesthetically pleasing (I have it in black color, but it is also available in white). It is sturdy and compact, without unnecessary buttons or other complicated things on it (I hate those paper labels that exist on many phones - fortunately, this one doesn't have them). Ideal for home use.
Disadvantages:
1. It requires a filter (not included in the package) if there is an ADSL/VDSL internet signal on the line. If you don't use a filter, you will hear a buzzing sound and other noises caused by internet data. This is logical and I don't consider it exactly a disadvantage, but I mention it so you know. Such a filter costs 1.50 euros and you probably already have one left from your internet service provider's routers...
2. For most people, it may seem a bit expensive for a wired telephone (I bought it for 50 euros), but I believe it is worth its money.
3. I can't find any other disadvantage... I have only had it for a few days, so if it reveals something, I will update.
These are my initial impressions. It is my first Gigaset and I can say that it won me over. I hope it doesn't disappoint me in the future... For anyone looking for a quality, user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing wired telephone for home use, without unnecessary and complicated functions, and especially designed to work entirely WITHOUT BATTERIES, they can choose it without hesitation, I believe it will fully satisfy them.
