  First of all, let me start by saying what happens regarding its use. The disk is factory-installed on an HP laptop (hp 250 g6 notebook pc). At first, it was okay, but after a month, it started acting up. It started lagging, as when an application opened, the disk started using 100%. I didn't pay attention to it at first, but then it started getting slower, making noise, and slowing down the computer. The disk is very poor in terms of performance and noise. I gave it 1 star, and that's too much because the disk is terrible. If someone wants to buy it, just throw it in the PC and use it as a backup for files, it's only useful for that. And under no circumstances should you install software on it because it will lag a lot at start-up.

  The disk in my possession for about six months, in the context of searching for the cheapest 7mm HDD during the buying period, given that all 2.5/5400rpm disks now exclusively carry SMR technology.

  Although it is an SMR (not CMR/PMR) 5400rpm/128mb cache disk, the experience so far has been highly encouraging, when used as a secondary storage disk for all kinds of files, including the disk images that the operating system is loaded on. Very good read and especially write speeds for a spinning disk, and even smr/5400, as shown in the photos. Although the disk is not particularly full, the write speed is definitely noteworthy, the main "Achilles' heel" of SMR HDDs. The advertised benchmark speeds are maintained during write/read-rewrite of disk images with suitable cloning software (comment based on personal experience with AOMEI backupper).

  The experience is different for the better, compared to SMR Seagate HDDs (both firecuda 2.5 1tb 5400rpm/128mb cache + 8gb nand-flash, and barracuda 3.5 2tb 7200rpm/256mb cache) regarding the maintenance of write speed over time (possibly due to better firmware or platters?). Therefore, the disk is suitable for storage (not loading the operating system) as a value-for-money cheap solution, especially if long-term warranty is not a priority (unlike firecuda, for example).

  The usage period is not indicative of reliability, but if any issues arise, the evaluation will be updated accordingly.

  This hard drive is only suitable for external use, meaning you have to put it in an external case to transfer your files. I had it in my HP 250 G7 i-3 laptop, and since I bought it 9 months ago, I have now decided to send the laptop to the service center to replace the disk with an SSD so that the machine runs smoothly
