In the first part of this book, there is a historical overview of the views of ancient Greek philosophers, as well as modern philosophers (17th-19th century) on the ethical treatment of animals. The second part explores all the theories of ethical treatment of non-human animals, whether philosophical or political. The third and final part attempts to demonstrate the evolutionary line that connects us with other animals and proposes a political direction for the contemporary vegan movement.
