The "Cambridge Dictionary of Psychology" is the first and only dictionary that approaches the broad science of psychology with an international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary perspective. This result was achieved after months of coordinated efforts. First, committees of expert scientists and editorial advisors were formed, including world-renowned psychologists from many different countries. These scientists reviewed and edited the entire set of fundamental concepts in order to update them and incorporate them into various cultural frameworks, incorporating any newer knowledge that psychology offers internationally.

The entries related to culture, as well as those derived from all areas of psychology, have been written to appeal to the widest possible audience. At the same time, many central concepts of contemporary psychology that are not included in corresponding well-known works have been included.
