This year, Agras Publications celebrates 40 years of existence. In 2019, we have approximately 1,430 titles. The anniversary is celebrated with the publication of Christian Bourgois' speech for his award ceremony in 2007 at the Guadalajara Book Fair in Mexico, where he was declared the best publisher. He was unable to attend the ceremony himself. Instead, his friend, Jorge Herralde, the famous publisher of Anagrama, read his speech. We have been nurtured by the French editions of Christian Bourgois.

His speech attributes the greatest value to our field. In a clear, concise, and condensed manner, he expresses the essence, ethics, and beauty of our work. Therefore, on the occasion of our house's 40 years of existence, we speak borrowing the words of someone else who made the most beautiful eulogy of this profession.
