I don't remember how many years I have had it, I think around 5. It plays every day since I bought it, averaging 1.5 hours per day, as I have replaced the TV with it. It is incredible, has amazing picture with vibrant colors and many image settings, and it works optimally with little to no light. I watch HD movies and series that are streamed via DLNA from a Raspberry Pi with a large external hard drive without any problem, both through WiFi and cable depending on where I place it each time. I also have another Raspberry Pi with emulators that I connect to it via HDMI and it plays flawlessly as well. It is small compared to almost everything else on the market, but with these specs, it is the best VFM small and durable projector. It can be quickly placed wherever you want with a stand, providing flexibility as it is not bulky and also it is visually very attractive. It has a battery that lasts an average of 1 to 1.5 hours. Regarding sound it has an internal speaker but I have built a bluetooth Raspberry receiver with connected speakers, so the projector connects to it wirelessly and provides better sound while I can control it through the projectors remote control without issue. If there were 15 stars, I would give it.

Good FHD projector for its price with satisfactory image quality. What bothered and annoyed me is that it has an outdated LG WebOs and doesn't seem to receive updates. So forget about Airplay and related features.

First of all, I should mention that there are two models (because when I was searching for the projector, I was initially confused). The American (LG PF50KA) which also has an antenna socket and the European (LG PF50KS) which does not have it, but otherwise they do not have any differences.

I chose the projector for the following reasons:

1. It has a built-in battery.
2. It can be charged with USB-C, which means it can act as a PowerBank to extend the operating time.
3. It has a built-in Media Player and other applications like NETFLIX and WiFi connection.
4. It is FULL HD.

Basically, I did not find any other projector at this price (branded) that combines all of the above and especially the complete portability and independence from power outlets.

Now, regarding the projector. It is quite small, definitely not pocket-sized but it fits comfortably in a small bag. It is somewhat heavy but tolerable. It does not have Auto Focus and that is a little issue because you have to frequently adjust the focus lever every time you move it. However, it has Auto Keystone (only in the vertical sense, which can be deactivated anyway). Its brightness is quite good and you can still see the projection even with some lights on (although everything appears washed out. These are 600 Lumens).

In the dark is where it showcases its capabilities. Clear and intense image, without lag or stuttering issues. We tested it on the rooftop of our apartment building, on a large wall (not very white or clean) and the other tenants who came to watch were thrilled. Of course, on the screen I have indoors for the fixed projector, it is even better. It played movies from a USB stick as well as from an external 4TB hard drive. It recognized Greek subtitles embedded in MKV files and managed to play the sound of a movie that had DTS audio. It is also very quiet.

I connected it via Bluetooth to a JBL Charge speaker and it played sound without lag. I also tried it with two JBL Charge speakers (in Stereo Mode) and there was a slight lag (the speakers were to blame, not the projector), but it could be somewhat corrected with an option in the Menu.

The built-in speaker is not bad, but of course, do not expect bass. It is not very loud if there is noise around. It simply does its job if there is nothing better available.

The battery life without ECO mode is about an hour. That's how long it lasted the first time I forgot to activate it. Of course, there is no reason not to use ECO mode since its brightness in the dark is already very good. However, with lights around, you will probably need the full brightness. With ECO mode set to MAX, it lasts about an hour and a half. This is where the USB-C charging capability comes in. Since I had already purchased a Power Bank with Power Delivery (Aukey PB-XD26 26800 PD USB-C Power Bank 63W 26,800mAh Power Delivery) to charge a laptop, it also did the job with the projector, extending its duration significantly. The Power Bank must be powerful enough, otherwise it will not work (that's why I mention the one I use so that anyone interested can get the same one or one with similar specifications, of course).

I should note that the first time I tried to charge the projector with my regular USB-C charger for my phone (which must have been around 30-35W), I did not see it charging properly. It requires the Laptop charger, which is 65W, to charge (maybe a 45W one would work, but I didn't have it). Otherwise, there is the classic charging method, which, however, has a bulky transformer, not user-friendly.

Finally, let me share a trick to be able to access the LG Store and download apps. The menu asks you to accept the terms first, but the problem is that it never loads those darn terms for you to accept and gets stuck there. After searching and searching, I found that you need to change the DNS in the projector settings to 8.8.8.8, and if that doesn't work, change the regional settings (I think it was called service location in the menu) and I changed it to "UK" from "Auto - Greece" (not the country it asks for in the initial setup, though, I left that as Greece). That way, it managed to find the user agreement, and I got unstuck. Not that there are many apps in the LG Store after all. That is perhaps one of the disadvantages compared to another projector that has the Google Play Store.

I am super satisfied for now. Although I haven't tested all its capabilities, it does what I wanted and more. If anything else comes up along the way, I will definitely come back with updates.

August 2020 Update

After a lot of use, I will add the following:

1. When using only WiFi (e.g., watching movies from NETFLIX), the battery life can indeed reach two hours. The hard drive seems to consume a lot of battery to function.

2. I would like it to have a well-lit remote control. It is difficult to guess the keys in the dark.

3. I don't think there is the ability to sideload applications. I would like, for example, to load the VLC media player to be able to play with the sound delay, but it is not possible at the moment.

August 2022 Update

Well, I still haven't managed to update the software, and I don't know if it is even possible. Since I don't see the Disney+ app coming to the projector's LG Content Store, and WebOS is a bit annoying, I ended up buying a Chromecast Google TV and connecting it to the projector, so now I can watch everything from there.
The power supply for the Chromecast can be easily done through the projector's USB-C output, so there is no need for another socket that would compromise portability. The USB-A only provides 0.5A and does not power it correctly.
Other than that, the machine works fine. It even survived a small fall and still works normally. It's a sturdy projector.

Amazing projector, it has both wifi and wifi direct. Perfect image in complete darkness and also with a little light. Get it without fear, it's worth it!!! I will come back shortly for more

I bought it with great reservation due to doubts about its brightness. Well, with the lights off for movie viewing, it is perfect. For multimedia projections with mirroring from mobile/tablet/pc, it is also very satisfactory. For daytime viewing in an amphitheater, it is not in my opinion, but it is not intended for such use either. In that case, we are talking about projectors with over 1000 lumens, hence double the price. For home use, it is the ultimate value for money. In terms of size, it is 1/4 the size of an old classic projector. The noise is also minimal, incomparable to the classic ones. It has a battery (I have not tested the autonomy, but it has a battery), it has a speaker, HDMI, USB-C, and it does NOT have VGA, but it is not needed because it has Wi-Fi direct/Wi-Fi and basically does not need a cable. It also has a browser (...yes, it has a browser!!!) and it truly displays in 1080p.
