To the point that it hurt my ankle. I had bought 3 pairs. I wore one and then threw them all away. I fell victim to the good reviews.

Always, but always, the socks I bought and wore were Pournara. I never had a complaint. Satisfied and more. These specific ones are perfect for the "good" cold, either to wear them outside and have warm feet without sweating, or to wear them inside the house. I never felt my feet cold even in the lowest temperatures.
And they are Greek too (VERY IMPORTANT).
If you want warmth in a sock, don't even think about it. They will not disappoint you!
