I bought it because I have thinning hair in the center of my head. I think what it does is "dye" the white part of the scalp, creating the illusion that you have hair, even though it doesn't actually add more hair. However, it does the job. It comes off with rubbing, so I recommend not touching your hair until your next shower.

If you have short hair, it appears on the skin as if it has color. It looks bad. Otherwise, it makes the hair appear denser, without performing miracles. Positives: very good coverage of the area and without the use of an applicator for me.
I did not use hairspray for better hold and still, even when I tried to blow dry it, nothing came off.
