Description

The book is addressed to both novice and experienced researchers who need and/or want to explore the mysteries of statistical analysis and not get lost in the fog of its challenges. This book is not only a teaching manual for students of Social Sciences, it is not only a practical guide for the techniques of conducting and interpreting statistical analyses, it is not only a source of theoretical information on inductive statistics, it is not only a synthetic approach to the selection, application, and utilization of appropriate software in each case; it is, collectively, all of the above. Each student, researcher, scholar, social scientist can identify the usefulness of the book at various cognitive levels, depending on personal research pursuits as well as existing knowledge, while the degree of involvement can be determined purposefully, based on research needs.

The 33 chapters of the book are organized into five Sections, with the first two focusing on the fundamental principles of Research Methodology and Descriptive Statistics through a brief overview of them. The second part concerns Inductive Statistical Analysis, structured into three complementary Sections: Theory of Inductive Statistics, Univariate Inductive Statistical Analysis, and Multivariate Statistical Samples and Applications. In the Sections and chapters of the book, the statistical theory for each statistical method is explained and then applied through four or more software programs, primarily using the software, resulting in the interpretation of basic and particularly advanced inductive (and not only) statistical analyses in the Social Sciences.
