The History of Greek Television includes an extensive introduction, focusing on the discovery of machines and the first presentations of television programs worldwide, to then focus on the beginning of television in our homeland. Structured in thirteen chapters, it develops with an original narrative style the successive steps, from the operation of the first television transmitter of DEI at the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki in 1960 to the installation of the first integrated digital platform in our country and from the first broadcasts of experimental television at Zappeion in July 1965 to the broadcasting of the 2004 Olympics worldwide. The book is complemented by a complete guide to television series, updated to the present day (2008), statistical tables, and an index of creators.
