Description

"Mahabharata" has been characterized as the epic of the ages. It is the greatest in the world, as significant to the Indians as the Iliad is to the Greeks, and the richest in themes, which is why it is said that whatever is not found in the "Mahabharata" cannot be found anywhere else. Indeed, apart from the war it narrates between the Pandavas and the Kauravas for power, it contains a multitude of other stories and traditions, as well as ethical codes, rules of politics for proper governance, philosophical systems, and teachings that still inspire spiritual seekers around the world today. It is a work that emphasizes the high moral character of its heroes, the higher purpose of spiritual seeking, and the triumph of virtue over all evil. The war described in the epic was a global war of that era, not only because many nations and peoples participated, but also because it was the result of a ruthless battle between the gods and the titans. When the titans were defeated, they decided to incarnate in the world of humans. However, soon the gods also incarnated, so that heavenly war was transferred to the earth, resulting in the deaths of millions of people and the loss of many rulers and glorious heroes. This war took place on the great plain of Kurukshetra, near present-day Delhi. However, the battle of Kurukshetra also has a spiritual meaning, as it is a battle that every seeker must undertake at some stage of their path. Anyone who has read the "Bhagavad Gita" (which is an integral part of the Mahabharata) will remember the wonderful spiritual teachings given by Krishna to his disciple Arjuna, urging him to participate in the battle against evil. We all hide a dark subconscious within us and are connected to the archetypes of the collective unconscious. At some point, we are called upon to illuminate this dark space, to tame the hidden uncontrollable forces of the subconscious, and through self-knowledge to become masters of all aspects of ourselves, lower and higher. The "Mahabharata" provides the impetus for this inner battle that leads to ultimate Liberation.

The whole great bath presents a divine world identical to the ancient Greek one. All great philosophers perceived this world like the ancient Greek wise men. Ultimately, all ancient peoples identify with the theme of the beyond the sensory world

The piece "Bantaba Guita" contains perhaps the richest wealth of meanings from an ethical-teaching perspective worldwide. You feel that almost all religions converge. You see how similar and identical we humans are across all geographical lengths and throughout all years. In the rest of the work, the same war scenes are repeated many times, making it monotonous, but still keeping the reader's interest in the final outcome
