Certainly, introducing a book that contains the holy and immaculate passions, the divine Burial, and the glorious Resurrection of our Lord is not an easy task. What can one say and what can one write first about these events that took place during the days before the Lord's passion, from the day He triumphantly entered Jerusalem until His arrest by the Jews? How can every human soul not feel the sorrow and devastation for the Passion of our Lord? How can one not experience the brilliance of His Resurrection?

These are texts that are read in all Orthodox churches, throughout the world, and devout Christians are accustomed to reading these sacred words, observing them while holding small booklets in their hands. So, if introducing such a book is difficult, I hastened to accomplish it for the glory of God. However, in this particular edition, there is another reason.

The publishers of this work and owners of the publishing house "CHRISTAKIS" happen to be the children of my late brother Athanasios P. Christakis, the founder of the homonymous publishing house, who departed prematurely from this life, as did his wife Anna. I write this preface as a memorial for the souls of my dear siblings Athanasios and Anna, and I hope their memory will be eternal.

From this position, I also want to congratulate my nieces Vasiliki and Panagiota Christaki for their commendable initiative to publish these sacred liturgies, and I warmly wish them to always have God's blessing in their lives, so that they may be in a pleasant position to publish other books of spiritually beneficial content for the people of God.
