Description

Fritz Riemann studied psychology and trained in psychoanalysis in Leipzig and Berlin. He was one of the founding members of the Institute for Psychological Research and Psychotherapy in Munich. For many years, he was a lecturer and training analyst there. For his contributions to psychoanalysis, he was honored with the title of member of the "American Academy of Psychoanalysis" in New York. In this book, the author, starting from the "basic fears" of human existence, presents an analytical description of character and personality that goes beyond the confines of specialists and addresses every reader, offering knowledge of psychoanalytic theory and practice. The interplay between these primary forms of fear and the four personality structures—schizoid, depressive, obsessive-compulsive, and hysterical—forms the central core of this work, which has now become an integral part of psychology.

I highly recommend it! The best thing I have read about understanding psychology and thinking. By reading this book, one understands the core of our actions and choices, the source of our thoughts and emotions, human behavior, and the fears that affect the coexistence of two individuals and the unconscious position that a person takes in society. By reading the characteristics of fears and the examples given for each category, you can (during the study) not only correlate the events and elements given with your personal experiences and behaviors for a better understanding of yourself, but also with the behavior of your family members or friends and acquaintances based on what you have observed or through conversations with them. Personally, I was surprised because in this book, I found a very good description of myself and my loved ones.
