For maximum image quality (2160p/60Hz/10-bit color), use a DisplayPort cable as the HDMI bandwidth is not sufficient and you will be limited to (2160p/60Hz/8-bit color).
However, with HDMI, you can have (2160p/24Hz/8-bit color) which is optimal for watching movies from Blu-Ray or in mkv format (720p/1080p/2160p) due to the 24fps frame rate that movies have.
Also, with the PIP feature, you can watch 2 sources simultaneously (e.g. Laptop and PC)
A great screen worth the money for 4k, it's exactly what you need, value for money, especially if you're into photo and video editing and need a large screen.
Guys, just so you know, because I got stuck and searched for it for a long time, in order to achieve 60 Hz, you need to connect the HDMI to the HDMI 2 port of the monitor.
Very good choice, value for money. I have it for office work, and you can easily have at least two windows open side by side in 4K resolution without straining.
