Paris Takopoulos, in whatever he writes, whether poetry, short story, novel, or theater, makes criticism, even when he writes criticism. There is a unity of style in his writings, constituting the essence of his work, which is transformed into an Aristotelian "ex-ousia" with his "Empty Testament", characterized by Panagiotis Kanellopoulos as the most revolutionary and original work, in terms of both form and substance, in our language, and the only one in Greece comparable to the writing of James Joyce.
