Paulo is a young man who plans to become a writer. He lets his hair grow long and sets out to discover the world, freedom, and the deeper meaning of existence. His journey has various unexpected events, from his imprisonment in 1968 while traveling in South America by the Brazilian military dictatorship, accused of being a terrorist, to his meeting with Karla in Amsterdam, from where they set off together for Nepal on the Magic Bus. Along the way, the two of them not only live a thrilling love story but also undergo a radical transformation and embrace new values in their lives.
