Description

The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro White is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 16GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro provides speed at 3200MT/s, with CL16 and 8 GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available in certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro has (XMP 2.0/EXPO) profiles with performances:

  • Speed (XMP/EXPO): 3200 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP/EXPO): 16-18-18-36
  • Voltage (XMP/EXPO): 1.35V


RGB Lighting

The RGB lighting in the Vengeance RGB Pro series has all the features and functions to create a unique and impressive look for your computer.

You can achieve this either through the software provided by the company, iCUE, or with compatibility in Sync Up software provided by motherboard companies. The advantage of Sync Up is that we can synchronize the RGB lighting of the entire computer.

The Vengeance RGB Pro is compatible with Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and MSI Mystic Light software.


Cooling & Design

The aluminum heatsink material keeps the memory at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations. The white color it has is ideal for a white PC Build.

    This review is about modules: 4, capacity: 32 GB

    They installed an old X99 system (Asus Deluxe X99) in combination with the Corsair kit (RGB Enhancement Kit) to fill up all available RAM slots. It now runs with 32GB of RAM at 3000MHz with manual OC, but it was quite difficult to get them all working properly. The X99 always had compatibility issues with the RAM it could "recognize". I never managed to reach the 3200MHz that the XMP provides because when the XMP is enabled, the socket 4 of the RAM doesn't read the memory at all and only shows 24GB. With manual OC and the "read" option enabled in the BIOS to control their RGB effects, it works correctly at 3000MHz. Although Corsair mentions compatibility of the ASUS Deluxe X99 with these specific RAM modules on their website, you will never achieve 100% without problems. With the equivalent GSkill set, there were no issues and they immediately worked at 3200MHz with their XMP.

    In a system with asrock steel legend b450 and r5 2600, they did not work properly and consistently at 3200mhz and lower frequencies. I switched to r5 3600 and the problem was solved, they work without any issues at 3200mhz and have excellent lighting!

    I have them here for 2 months, great RAM, I recommend them for anyone looking for RAM with RGB lighting, as you have software that provides you with several modes and effects to match them with the rest of your setup. They are immediately recognized without any issues, but for those that are not recognized, simply enter the BIOS and enable the XMP profile and then the correct hertz will be displayed.

    Wonderful 3200 in xmp and truly wonderful rgb controlled in aorus rgb application. For 90 euros they are perfect. If someone is willing to spend over 95-100, they should go for 3400+hz without rgb. Performance was the top priority. It's a very nice choice, I don't regret it at all

    Now let's be realistic, for the average casual user, Hz and cache latencies don't matter, but appearance does, and that's their strong point.
