Description

The scientist, to the extent that he produces scientific work, is a factor of cultural formation, positively or negatively influencing the evolution of social structure. Due to this role, he cannot imply and invoke the neutrality of science, staying outside the formation of the respective theological or social becoming. What historians of science know very well is that the end of a great scientific revolution marks the beginning of major social rearrangements. The great scientific revolution that took place during the 20th century comes to an end, but it is doctrinally kept outside the cognitive field of the average citizen, as it poses a danger to a social and theological structure that no longer convinces citizens of their intentions. Western civilization is in a state of collapse. Theology and social structure must adapt and mutate in a way that they become recipients and handlers of new scientific discoveries, which can no longer remain on the sidelines. The scientist at the moment of the great cultural crisis, as in other similar periods, must dare to become the strong arm for overcoming the crisis, expressing himself freely at all levels, regardless of the social and professional cost that can often be enormous.
