This book is an introductory textbook on Geochemistry for undergraduate and graduate students who already have basic knowledge in earth sciences, chemistry, and mathematics. The text, combined with numerous tables and images, covers a wide range of topics: from atomic structure to chemical and isotopic equilibrium, and to the well-known bio-geochemical cycles. It is divided into four parts: crystallography, chemical reactions (including bacterial reactions), isotope geochemistry (radioactive and stable), and the study of the Earth's super-system, which includes discussions on the evolution of the solid Earth, atmosphere, and hydrosphere.

Following the new trends in the field of Geochemistry, the book emphasizes computational techniques: it develops the appropriate mathematical relationships, solves various problems that highlight the applications of mathematical relationships, and presents exercises at the end of each chapter for readers to solve. However, in order not to interrupt the flow of the text, the relevant chemical principles and mathematical calculations are provided separately, within frames. At the end of the book, tables of thermodynamic data are presented under standard conditions (298.15 K, 1 bar), along with answers to selected questions from each chapter of the book.
