The present translation effort aims to present the Trojan War as a historical event, as recorded by Ioannes Malalas, because this war as a poetic narrative is known from the Homeric epics.
In this sense, we believe that it will prove interesting and useful to educators and students who wish to explore a purely human event, which arose from the works, actions, and deeds of people, without divine interventions, even if such interventions existed, poetic license, numerous within the complex epic work of our golden poet.
The works that Malalas used as sources were those written by the following authors: Dictys of Crete, Sisyphus of Coos, Homer, Domnichus, Themis, Minos, Auleas, Euripides.
