The main goal of this book is for the reader, who will wander through its pages, to get to know the nature and "peculiarities" of the world ocean that covers three-quarters of the surface of our planet and has been the cradle of life.

However, today, the world ocean is directly related to a series of global environmental problems. We are already witnessing the effects of global warming, the "ozone hole", El Niño, overfishing, and pollution of the marine environment. These overshadow our lives and undermine the future of future generations. Understanding and addressing these issues are also among the goals of this book.
