The book "Professional Calculations for Automotive Engineers" was written according to the requirements of modern pedagogy, as a textbook and exercise book. It is based on the basic knowledge of general calculations, which are referred to in the first chapter. The next two chapters solve problems related to technical calculations and calculations in automobiles. The fourth chapter develops a new chapter that was created with exercises in integrated mechanisms, which contributes to the integration of specialties according to the rearrangement of education in professions. Each chapter systematically develops the taught material and is complemented with numerous examples, exercises, images, and illustrations. The exercises give students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in practical applications, in order to consolidate and deepen their knowledge.
Calculations are made using equations of sizes (letters) according to DIN 1313. These are emphasized particularly. Where simplification is necessary for better understanding, the types formatted with defined units of numerical equations according to DIN 1313I are presented and highlighted with a background. The equations of units are in gray background. The notable propositions and calculation rules, which are important for the student, are written within a frame.
The book was written for apprentices as well as for technicians and forms a unit with the other books in the series "Car Library".
