I have been using it on my kayak for 2 years now in the sea in Naxos. It survived with a small scratch two winters and now we are going through the second summer. Strong and holds up very well in the strong winds and waves. I trust it with a stainless steel chain 1200 euro kayak. I bought it from Sklavenitis.

Personally, it didn't work for me. It can't go deep enough into the sand to hold a large umbrella (2.2m diameter) in moderate wind.

I bought two, both broke! I won't give them a third chance, it seems sturdy construction but it breaks.

I bought 2 of these. In order for the umbrella to be stable, the base needs to be inserted deep into the sand. It would be better if it had larger pegs. It is very good. It also has adapters for different sizes of tubes.
