The 90° central column extension mechanism of the Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 allows not only the normal vertical column extension but also the horizontal, thus opening up a wide range of framing and shooting options. The horizontal column mechanism is housed within the tripod's top casing to limit size, while extending easily and quickly whenever you need it. Switching between vertical and horizontal column orientation does not require disassembly and can be done even with the camera attached.

The tripod legs extend quickly, thanks to the Quick Power Lock levers that lock and unlock each leg section. Their special design allows all legs to be opened with a single movement, while also offering a sturdier lock for each section, providing greater stability and rigidity to the tripod compared to traditional locking levers. The intelligent and ergonomic angle selectors allow each leg to open independently and securely at any of the preset angles, thus allowing significant freedom in positioning.

Finally, the bubble level located at the top of the central column helps with precise alignment. It rotates freely around the central column, so it can be positioned anywhere, making it easier to see as you adjust the tripod's position without being obstructed by the head or camera or hindering their operation.
