I may be wrong, but my opinion remains the same. I don't know how much it is connected to the first Destiny, but as a game, I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. I bought it because I found it at a great discount and I thought, "why not?". Let's start with the positives: good sound, good graphics, easy and understandable gameplay. I couldn't understand the story at all (maybe because I didn't have the first one and they are connected). And at some point in the game, I just ended up running around the map and killing monsters/aliens, I don't even know! After a few days of doing that, it became excessively tiresome and boring, so I gave up on it and haven't touched it since. Again, I might be making a huge mistake with this one and I hope I'm wrong, but from what I experienced, it didn't impress me much.
Well... where should I start? First of all, I want to say that the price of this product is ridiculously low, it should be five times higher. It is the best action + adventure game I know, the PvP is excellent, and the weapons are endless. The graphics are flawless, and the gameplay with the aliens is mind-blowing! Also, the Boss fights involving other players are a huge help, and the fact that you can cooperate with them is something else. I won't spoil the gameplay, but all I can say is that you choose one of the three heroes: Titan, Hunter, and Warlock, and fight against various enemies like Fallen, Taken, Vex, etc., while collecting powerful weapons and armor to complete missions. One good thing is that once you finish a mission, you can continue playing with the same hero, but of course, you can change heroes at any time without completing your previous one. Additionally, you can create 3+ accounts from the same account and play with all three of them. I bought the game on PlayStation, and I must say I am fully satisfied with the purchase. Unfortunately, to play with friends, you need PlayStation Plus, which is the only downside, along with the fact that it takes up quite a bit of space, but it's okay, I won't deduct any stars for that. I don't know if it requires payment to play with friends on Xbox or PC, but if you don't have to pay, it's really good. I don't know what game some people have played based on the comments I've read, but I completely disagree with what SOME of them say. That's all from me.
In the year 2020 and at the price it is now, no one should have any complaints. First of all, I have to say that the graphics are fantastic, the gameplay is very good, maybe even the best in terms of shooter feel on the console. The story and overall singleplayer experience are classic Destiny, meaning you go there, kill some aliens, do a little grind, and start over from the beginning. I should mention that it's not an action shooter like Call of Duty, but a loot shooter like Borderlands, and it requires a lot of grinding to strengthen your character. The expansions, truth be told, are a must-have because otherwise the game feels incomplete. It has a whole world and the missions you can do together are full of action and won't disappoint you
For the money it is now 25 something euros... it is just what you need! The downside is that you need to buy the expansion to enjoy it even better! Find a friend... buy it... and you will enjoy it as much as it takes you!
This disgrace that Bungie dares to call a "game" is a complete scam. Firstly, the game is full of microtransactions. You pay 60 euros when it's new and it has NOTHING inside. You have to constantly buy the new DLCs and in the end, to say that you enjoyed the game, you have to spend 180 euros. Secondly, the servers are a mess and Bungie's support is non-existent. Thirdly, if you are a group of friends and want to play together, forget it because you can only enter with up to 3 people. Fourthly, the graphics are nothing special, a game from 2013 easily competes with it.
It is a shame to waste a game that has good shoot 'em up elements with beautiful graphics and sound/music because the production company released the laziest thing I have seen in years in a game that initially costs 60 euros. Before the release, they had already released a DLC bundle, telling the user in their face that it will cost them 100 euros to play. Even the stones are laughing!
In 1-2 weeks, you do the same pointless things without any challenge, without any option to play the missions you want with a vote system, without any loot system, having everything left to chance, without any choice in PvP except what happens to you in a map/mode. The climax was the DLC that cost 20 euros to offer you 3-4 hours of gameplay and 3 twenty-minute missions. This was the DLC, honestly, and as you can imagine, the next one will be the same. The value for money personally for a game with all the DLC should be around 30 euros with great leniency.
I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 just because it had good sound and if you have online company, you can spend a few enjoyable hours. Otherwise, it is a completely rushed piece of garbage.
Anyone who played the first Destiny will know that we are talking about the new greatly improved version of the game we played. It is definitely worth it as a game, just the best thing you can do is get the deluxe edition with all the DLC included and get ready for many hours of gaming!
The game received a lot of criticism here, although it is not bad at all and certainly not as bad as they say here. I am a owner of Destiny 1 and indeed what they have done with the game's expansions is tragic, as they lock content if you don't have the latest DLC, which under other circumstances you would play normally. However, this is not a reason to rate a game with one star in which the DLCs have not even been released yet and complain about what WILL come out. When they are released, rate it as you wish.
So, Destiny 2, at this stage, is a very nice game that is extremely fun and challenging with friends. It has plenty of content to keep you busy for many hours, PvP, PvE, cool bosses, and many continuous public events where you usually encounter a lot of people and have fun.
I highly recommend it to people who have not played Destiny 1 (there is no chance you won't enjoy it if you like HALO-type FPS games), while for Destiny 1 owners, I would suggest waiting for the price to drop a little more and then grab it!
Bungie, with the second part of Destiny, manages to do what it couldn't offer in the base game of the first one. All the activities, quests, weapons, and public events that we got to know through expansions in the first game are here from the beginning, enriched to make you not consider them as more of the same. The main campaign, compared to the first one, is a blockbuster. Its downside is that sooner or later, you will have to get into the grinding process, but that happens in all types of MMORPG games. At the price I got it, 51, it's a great game and very addictive. Especially when playing with friends.
We rate it negatively because the game has microtransactions and locked content that requires additional MONEY to play. I give my money to play a complete game, not just 1/3 of it, as Bungie wants to inflate the rest again. When you introduce microtransactions, give me the ability to acquire these extras by PLAYING. Don't ask me for two euros to change the color of a belt or boot. I hope the game fails.
It becomes boring very quickly and the DLCs greatly affect the game. The online PvP is nothing different from the original game. It is not worth the price.
First time in my life I saw a game that asks for money to change the color of your suit. Full of microtransactions and Bungie's embarrassing policies. Whoever pays has the upper hand here and the greed has no end. No matter how good it is as a shooter, I cannot recommend it to anyone 1/10.
