This book serves as an aid to the school textbook "Ancient Greece": "The Place and the People" (Anthology) for the 2nd year of Gymnasium. Following the organization of the school manual, the book includes:
- A concise presentation of the introductory note of the school book at the beginning of each unit regarding the city or region to which each unit refers - in the last unit the introductory note refers to the phenomenon of sports.
- Processing of the texts of the units, which includes:
Information about the author, about his work in general, about the specific work from which the anthologized excerpt comes, and about the excerpt itself.
- Interpretation of words or phrases (where deemed necessary)
- Factual elements - Interpretative comments
- Commentary on key themes of the text.
- Technical elements
- Answers to the questions of the school book.

In some texts, there may also be supplementary questions. Additionally, three Evaluation Criteria are proposed. The answers to all these are given at the end of the book.

Furthermore, within colored frames, more information or excerpts from other works related to the examined text each time are provided (e.g., in connection with text 5, "Family Council," of unit I, some general information about the courts in ancient Athens and the justice system that prevailed there is given).
