Very good shock absorption but after a few months of use, they tore on the sides of the fabric. I contacted Asics for a replacement but they refused.

I bought this pair in January '18 on sale for 120 euros. Without putting them under much strain (i.e. only one 10km race, no training sessions, etc.), the shoes started to open up in two places, externally on the mesh part above the toes, within the first three months. I consider this at least bad, they are not worth that much money. I would have preferred to buy a good pair of Nike (Vomero, Pegasus) or Adidas (Ultraboost) shoes for the same price. But I relied on the name and the value for money, as they told me at the store where I bought them! The funny thing is, when I contacted Asics about my "issue," they said it's normal wear and tear... And I told them if this is normal wear and tear in three months without even running in them, if I had done 80-100 km per week of running, they would have fallen apart in this period and would have been useless! They didn't respond... anyway, I was disappointed and annoyed, and I won't be buying Asics again!

I consider this particular model, even in its older versions (16,17,18), as one of the top running shoes for neutral runners. Its comfortable fit, combined with the cushioned sole and heel protection, can keep you comfortable on long runs. The weight may be a negative factor for a fast runner who prioritizes performance, but for an average runner who wants to cover many comfortable kilometers, I believe it is a very good choice. I have been using it since the Nimbus 16 version, and nothing else I have tried since then compares... Regarding size, as mentioned by others, it is recommended to go half to one size up (after trying them on). Also, the upper part is more susceptible to wear and tear due to the materials used. The price is high, but I believe it reflects the quality of construction.

I bought the kayano 24 in size 42.5 and the nimbus 19 in size 43.5! They are narrow. They have a very good fit and absorb shocks exceptionally well. Very good construction quality. Note about the specific color: It is more red than I would have liked (I didn't have the luxury to see it up close)...

Lightweight shoes of good quality construction, just be careful, I got half a size bigger than what I usually wear but they are still tight. I had to remove the insoles it came with in order to put in thinner ones.

Είναι αξιόπιστα παπούτσια. Κάθε φορά που τα φοράω ακόμα και για τις δουλειές στο σπίτι, νομίζω ότι τα πόδια μου ξεκουράζονται σε 5άστερο ξενοδοχείο! Έπειτα από ορθοστασίες τουλάχιστον 3 ωρών και με ενδιάμεση μετακίνηση, άρση βάρους κτλ. δεν με ενοχλούν ούτε τα γόνατα ούτε τα ισχία μου. Αν και η τιμή τους ήταν αρκετά υψηλή, μετά από αρκετή έρευνα τα βρήκα και σε καλή τιμή που μπορούσα να ανταποκριθώ.
Η συμβουλή μου σε όσους θέλουν να πάρουν αθλητικά παπούτσια είναι, να κάνουν ενδελεχή έρευνα προκειμένου να βρουν τι ταιριάζει στο δικό τους πόδι.

I have been wearing them for 6 months at my job, which requires a lot of walking, often carrying heavy weight. In combination with special insoles (those of you who have foot problems should make insoles with examination on a podograph and you will be saved), they do a very good job. All the discomfort I felt has stopped. I have mistreated them quite a bit for running shoes, but they are quite high quality and durable. The cushioning of the sole is simply excellent. The price could be lower.

Compared to the Nimbus 18, they are faster and fit better on the foot. They have better insulation and it is more difficult for cold and water to enter in case of rain. Their shape is narrower, so it is better to prefer half a size larger than the previous Nimbus (depending on how comfortable you want your foot to be when running). I wore size 44 in the 18, and I got size 44.5 in these, but they are still not as comfortable as the 18.

Very good shoe, however, as other children have said, be careful, it needs at least half a size bigger than what you wear in other sports shoes. It is good to try them on before making a purchase!
UPDATE: After a year, the outer (mesh) on the side started to tear, despite very careful use!

Incredible shoe. I really didn't buy them for so long because I considered them overrated and too expensive. I got them in size 44 while I wear 43.5 and they were tight. After years with Nike Pegasus, I finally found a shoe for everything! Walking, running, gym, work. They are very comfortable and helped me with a problem I had in my foot.

I bought them for walking, but after a lot of walking, they bothered me. They have a tight fit, they need a larger size than what we normally wear.

The Nimbus 18 were clearly better. It seems to have a much tighter fit compared to the 18, resulting in a very tight and snug foot. It is the first pair of Asics Gel that disappointed me.

By far the best athletic shoe I have ever worn in my life! As its name suggests, it feels like walking on clouds. The knee and lower back pain disappeared immediately, something that expensive branded shoes had not been able to do. Finally, I have started running 5 kilometers again without limping at the end. I highly recommend it without hesitation!
