For its price with a magnet and standing alone, it's fine. As soon as I activated it, the temperature was correct. The hygrometer was wrong - 8 degrees. However, after a week, it was fixed. It shows correctly now.
What you pay is what you get, same here. It does everything mediocre but it's very economical. The thermometer is relatively accurate, the hygrometer isn't and can't be for 5€. Its biggest drawback isn't its measurements, but the fact that it needs a battery relatively often (every 6-8 months).
Do not underestimate it because it is cheap and does not have many buttons and indicators! It is real value for money, beautiful, with a clear readable screen and... decent in its measurements, of course considering its price. Its battery (already installed) is very cheap and lasts for years. I have bought 3 of these thermometers/hygrometers for 5.5 euros each and I have placed one in each room of my house to have an idea of the temperature and humidity.
I would also like to dispel some "myths" regarding hygrometers: Firstly, there is no household thermometer/hygrometer, from those costing 15-20 euros, that is perfectly accurate, they all have deviations from the real values. Precision electronic thermometers/hygrometers, like the ones you will find in chemistry laboratories, are very expensive (imagine that the cheapest ones start from 350-400 euros), so do not waste your money unnecessarily searching to buy the "perfect" hygrometer or weather station. Secondly, humidity can vary in different parts of a house, even in different parts of a room, depending on how well ventilated the room is, how many hours it is exposed to sunlight, etc., so it is normal to have different humidity readings in different parts of the house, sometimes even in different parts of a large room, such as a living room. Thirdly, cheap household hygrometers that use organic materials for measuring humidity often show slightly different values, even if you place them side by side.
As I mentioned before, household hygrometers are meant to give you a general idea of the humidity in your home, and this small and inexpensive thermometer/hygrometer does this job just fine. I highly recommend it.
At home, we have a total of 2 of these in outdoor areas and another 4 of the same brand but with the "wooden" facade in the bedrooms and home office.
The indoor ones also have decimals (almost double the price), but this particular one without decimals is not an issue. The indications with the emoji face showing high humidity are unnecessary.
Of course, it is not intended for precise measurements, but it satisfies us to know the basics.
Reliable and with battery replacement after 2 years. Simple and inexpensive.
