During the summer months, the plants in your garden and balcony are always thirsty. Automatic watering is the solution, and the battery-powered irrigation programmer ensures the proper and economical watering of your plants when you are away or asleep, without needing to worry about their care.
These specific irrigation programmers operate with alkaline batteries that can last up to two years (it is advisable to change them every season) and connect easily directly to the faucet. With the same programmer, you can water different areas of your garden separately, such as the lawn, the flowers on the veranda, or the flower beds.
The irrigation programmer Buddy Single Port Tap Timer Orbit is easy to program with 6 clicks, ideal for balconies and gardens!

Unfortunately unreliable. Both broke, the first one and the replacement within warranty, within a few months. Used on a covered balcony. Very easy programming.
I have the old one in the garden for 4 years. Forgotten there, it has not stopped working. In the winter, I cover it with a thick cloth. Normally recommended by the manufacturer when not in use to be stored in a shady place. The new one has been working for 1+ year, without any problem. Extremely easy to program. Perfect.
The first Orbit Buddy lasted for 3 years, so I purchased a second one. However, the second one only worked for a month. It completely disappointed me. It appears to be working, but it doesn't send water when it should. The solenoid valve doesn't open. That's why I give it a rating of 1 out of 5.
After eight years, I went one day to the vacation house and saw that it had a major internal leak... what can I say, it held up well but the bill will show the damage
It is the fifth one I buy. They all work perfectly for many years. The easiest programmer. Tip. After the end of the watering period, disconnect it from the faucet, in order to have it for many years.
I have bought 5. And my brother 2. (singles and doubles) The last ones we bought unfortunately often don't stop watering. As long as I was home and could control them, I wasn't worried. I went on vacation this summer and when I came back, I found them working. I'm scared at the thought of how high the water bill will be. It's a shame because my family has been using them for many years.
I have it for 5 years. Excellent!!
It is in a spot where the sun hits it and I change the battery preemptively once a year (AA).
It is very easy to program with many combinations and it has never hung on me. What it can't do is have different programming for each day like some digital ones now. Specialized indeed, but to each their own...
When it breaks (and if it does), I will still buy the same one.
In six months it broke and the service was nonexistent. In order for the warranty to be valid, you need to know the production date and not what the purchase receipt says..... That's it..
A watering programmer that you really won't need to read any instruction books for, that you won't worry about if you lose the instruction book, and that you will always remember how it works because its instructions are always in front of you.
I bought it here at least three years ago and had it abandoned, out of order, for a long time with the batteries inside. Eventually, I installed it on a faucet on the estate to put fresh water in my dogs' drinking bowls, which is a big problem especially in the summer due to the heat and the need to frequently renew the water. It has been in operation for at least six months now, and I use its controls at least every 2 days when I go for cleaning and inspection, switching it from auto to stop or changing the program by putting it in manual mode.
It has not had the slightest problem so far and it seems like it will continue like this. Battery replacement is done with a drawer that comes out with the batteries, from the back, and as long as there is access there, it will not need to be removed from its position.
Update 3/2/2022: I changed the batteries preemptively in the summer. Everything is fine. It works like the first day and takes care of my dogs on the estate to always have fresh water. I bought a digital programmer from Lidl this summer and within six months, it gave up. Now I'm trying to find the purchase receipt to maybe take it for service or replacement.
Update 05/07/2023. Still everything is fine. I bought a second one last year and everything is fine for both of them. Of course, I make sure to have them under cover so that they don't get wet and the sun doesn't see them.
I still have the batteries from last year and they work for about six hours.
Perhaps the easiest irrigation programming device. My mediocre rating is based on the very poor quality and difficult-to-use plug that screws onto the faucet. As a result, I had a hard time screwing it on and had to unscrew it after 6 months. Unfortunately, due to its poor quality, the threads on the connector that screws onto the faucet got worn out and it ended up being useless.
EDIT.
In the end, with a makeshift 3.5' adapter and the addition of 4 flanges inside the adapter, I managed to reconnect it and make it work without any leaks.
It's been some years since I bought it, now I'm doing an evaluation. I always used to buy cheap or the cheapest of these. I have some plants, not professional, etc. I am very satisfied, it's easy to screw and program, just simple things, snap and you're done. Luckily, it didn't bother me because it endured some bad rains that I forgot about during the winter.
After nine months, it still operates without any issues. It is easily adjustable and the build quality is very good. So far, the screen has not been affected by the sun (it continues to display).
I have three similar ones. They have been working morning and night for 1 year, 5 minutes each day, around the hotel. Never had any issues so far. Easy to program. Heavy construction.
