Description

The Ibanez GRG121DX electric guitar is aimed at guitarists of most musical genres, such as rock, metal, blues, funk, and pop. It is suitable for beginners and advanced players, featuring a metallic sound and dual Humbucker pickups for a more aggressive sound.

Overall, the GRG121DX is a very good choice for those looking for an affordable yet reliable and professional electric guitar.

HH pickup configuration (Humbucker-Humbucker)

This layout includes two humbucker pickups, which are mounted in the position of the central pickup and the bridge pickup of the guitar.

The humbucker pickups offer better response to low frequencies and bass sound, as well as greater resistance to noise. This makes the guitar suitable for loud riffs and solos.

Equipped with passive pickups, which do not require external power to operate. Specifically, the passive pickups work using magnetism and produce a signal that is inversely proportional to the movement of the strings.

Body construction made of Okoume wood

The body of the GRG121DX is made from Okoume wood, which is lightweight and relatively low in density, allowing it to produce a clear sound with balanced response in bass, mid, and treble.

Classic ST Body Shape

The ST body shape it features follows the lines of one of the most widespread electric guitars, like the Stratocaster. Its design has a double-cut body for access to the highest frets and an extended "horn" on the upper side that offers perfect balance during upright playing.

With a wide range of supporters, including Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Holly, David Gilmour, and Jeff Beck, it is clear that the ST Style shape can handle virtually any musical style.

Neck construction from Maple wood

The Maple wood used in the neck is an important element for the guitar's acoustics, as it produces a bright and precise tone which results from the wood's hardness.

Fretboard made of durable Purpleheart wood

The fretboard of the Ibanez features 24 frets and is made from very hard and durable Purpleheart wood, which does not wear easily, providing great resistance to daily use.

Bridge F106

The F106 bridge enhances sustain and the string height adjustment can be done easily and independently.

The guitar for its price is amazing. I don't have a lot of experience with electric guitars as I have been playing classical for 1.5 years, but due to my music preferences (metal), I decided to switch to electric. It is a bit heavy as I am not used to it, as mentioned above, but I think if you have played electric before, the weight of this one is normal. With a good amplifier, the guitar is 100% worth it.

For 200 euros, it truly is worth it and it even outperforms guitars of higher value. I have had it for a year now and it hasn't given me the slightest problem, on the contrary. The sound is incredibly rich for its category and as a guitar, it is also adorable. At first, one of the strings buzzed a little because it was touching one of the frets, but with a quick adjustment, it was ready to go.
