It does nothing! I replaced the previous cheap one (which was great for 10 years) with this one, for better (good brand, to have peace of mind... etc).
It's like it doesn't exist. Its 3 is like the 1 of the old one. And I bought 2 different models...
I didn't expect to get 2 like the old one... imagine that.

IT IS NOT SILENT! It synchronizes with the lights and creates a constant penetrating sound. I have tied a string around each light fixture (it has 3) to avoid getting a headache from the continuous buzzing.
If you don't want to take any chances, (I still don't know how dangerous this can be if it reaches a high temperature), it's better to choose another one.
It is not so easy to install, and it doesn't have a hook, only screws into the ceiling.
The chains - especially the fan's chain - were skimped on in length, they need an extension if you are under 1.80m in height.
A big disappointment, because I still have two ceiling fans, much cheaper, and they don't have such problems.

Very good fan. It comfortably covers my bedroom on the low setting. On the high setting, I simply get cold. Anyone who wants to cover a larger space should better buy one with larger blades. Very easy to install. Whoever buys it should also buy wall switches for control because the chains for on/off and rotation are not convenient. I give it 4 stars because I had bought 3 before 5 years ago and they were better in terms of quality because they were Made in Germany. The ones I bought now are Made in China and they are inferior in construction quality. Nevertheless, they are worth the purchase.
