The second edition of Comparative Anatomy of Mammals, unlike the first edition, focuses solely on the form and structure of the organs of these mammals, namely equidae, ruminantia, sus scrofa domestica, and carnivora. Specifically, ruminants are referred to as large ruminants (cattle, bos taurus) and small ruminants (sheep, ovis aries, and goats, capra hircus). This distinction, artificial and therefore lacking any scientific basis, is made solely for practical reasons.

The improved content of this textbook has been completely rewritten to adapt to the language of modern Greek. Efforts have been made to keep it concise, yet equally informative and useful for students, graduates, and even scientific or medical research.

The selection of fundamental knowledge and its development in the simplest possible way has been the main concern in presenting this new edition. However, I believe that other important factors contributing to the successful writing of a book, such as clarity, good language style, illustrations, organization of content, and printing, have not been neglected.
